All match results are automatically synced from Wikipedia. A cron job on the server fetches the latest scores twice daily (06:00 and 15:00 NZST) and writes them to results.json, which this page polls every 5 minutes.

Results update automatically — no manual entry needed, no passwords, no admin panels. Just check the board and see the latest scores.

How it works:

1. Server cron job fetches World Cup results from Wikipedia twice a day
2. Results are written to data/results.json on the server
3. This page polls results.json every 5 minutes for live updates
4. Group-stage scores feed the leaderboard; knockout brackets populate as teams advance

💡 The board shows the full schedule and auto-scores as the tournament progresses. No passwords, no manual entry.

🖨 Export / Print

Click Export in the header → print as poster or Ctrl+P → "Save as PDF".

📊 Scoring

Win = 3 points for the staff member who owns the winning team

Draw = 1 point each for both staff members

Loss = 0 points

Tiebreaker: more wins → more goals scored
